Excellent core strengthening and overall toning workout. This class is great for beginners new to the mat and can still offer challenges for those with years of experience. Mat pilates allows you to build the foundational blocks that can allow you to proceed to more complex practices. We recommend 2 – 3 classes per week, however many students see results with the first few months when only completing 1 class weekly. You will be able to see improvements with your strength, posture, agility, flexibility as well as toned muscles! This is great for students of all ages and fitness levels.
Adding Reformer Pilates to your weekly exercise plan can be life changing! The apparatus may look daunting to begin with but once your eyes are open to it your practice changes dramatically. The resistance created by the pulley and spring system can provide a more challenging strength and endurance workout than mat classes. It may also provide visible results soon – arm, leg and abdominal muscles can look more firm and defined within a dozen or so regular sessions! Using the reformer’s many attachments allows the students to modify and increase the range in each session; this allows additional exercises beyond what can be done on a mat. This capability, combined with the support offered by the resistance the machine provides, allows people with limited range of movement or injuries to safely do modified exercises!
